Description.

This Tula 1939 Mosin-Nagant infantry rifle has been lovingly restored by our team so it looks, shoots, and even smells EXACTLY like it did when it rolled out of the Tula arsenal in 1939. Nearly all imported M91/30s were filled in a gross heavy Cosmoline to keep the metal in good condition for decades of storage while the original wood stocks were covered in a heavy red-hued shellack that gave the rifles a shiny appearance and often headed with use and came off the wood all over a shooter’s hands. This rifle has been completely stripped down and had all its metal parts and wood faithfully restored to their original factory finishes. All gun metal is now highly bright black with the stock refinished in multiple coats of the original boiled linseed oil that these stocks were treated with. Gone are the years of dulling on the metal, the sticky goopy cosmoline and sticky shellack stock and back is how this rifle was handed out to Red Army troops on the eve of the 2nd World War. The rifle is complete with all matching parts and has a bright, shiny bore with strong rifling. The rifle is further marked with original Tula Arsenal proof stamps as well as an accuracy proof mark that not all rifles received when they left the factory.

The years have been pealed back and when you pick this rifle up, you will experience this infantry classic EXACTLY how it was first held by a Red Army soldier in 1939. Don’t miss out.
