Description.

The Heckler & Koch P30 is a full-size, polymer-framed, recoil-operated semi-automatic pistol chambered primarily in 9×19mm Parabellum. Introduced in 2006, it features a 15-round magazine, ambidextrous controls, interchangeable backstraps and side panels, and a Picatinny accessory rail. One of the P30’s defining characteristics is its highly adaptable grip, which allows shooters to tailor the pistol to their hand size and shooting style. Combined with HK’s reputation for durability and reliability, these features helped make the P30 one of the most successful European police pistols of the 21st century.

These particular pistols come from Swiss police surplus. As a result, they are nearly all 100% unused and were seemingly only fired at the H&K factory. Pistols all have some degree of minor holster on the slide and the logo of the police agency they were formerly assigned to has been removed. These pistols are in, therefore, essentially new condition with some cosmetic defects. Each pistol comes with an original HK box and one magazine. Pistols are also equipped with tritium night sights (yellow glowing rears and bright orange front post).

The P30 traces its lineage directly to HK’s earlier service pistols. The design evolved from the legendary Heckler & Koch USP, which was introduced in the 1990s and earned a reputation for extreme durability. HK subsequently developed the Heckler & Koch P2000 as a more ergonomic and modernized successor to the USP Compact. The P30 expanded upon the P2000 concept by incorporating enhanced ergonomics, interchangeable grip panels, improved ambidextrous controls, and a larger service-size frame. Early development prototypes were reportedly known internally as the “P3000,” reflecting its role as the next generation of HK duty pistols.

The P30 has been adopted by numerous law enforcement agencies around the world and is perhaps best known for its service with the German Federal Customs Administration, the German Federal Police (Bundespolizei), the Norwegian Police Service, and numerous Swiss cantonal police agencies including Zürich and Aargau. The pistol also achieved widespread popular recognition through its use by the fictional character John Wick in the early films of the John Wick franchise, where a customized P30L became one of the character’s signature handguns. Today, the P30 remains respected for its combination of reliability, ergonomics, and proven service history, making it one of Heckler & Koch’s most successful modern duty pistols.
